Reports are surfacing that Eliot Spitzer’s wife wants a divorce. This seems to be a long time after the prostitution scandal that forced him to step down as New York’s governor. The New York Post is reporting that Silda Spitzer plans on filing for divorce soon. According to the Post, the couple have been living apart since May. This is always a sign of a possible divorce. When a couple is living separately it would seem that divorce is on the horizon or they are going through extensive counseling. It was surprising to see Mrs. Spitzer not divorce Eliot on the brink of the prostitution scandal. Sometimes, couples can get through hard times and sometimes they can not. It seems that Silda Spitzer has finally reached her tipping point in the marriage and has decided to file for divorce. However, the Post is also reporting that Silda Spitzer has not hired a divorce lawyer as of right now.
