Best Neighborhoods for a Family in Salt Lake City
There is nothing more important than family. No matter how much money, friends or followers you may have, none of these can bring you the same amount of joy that family does. That being said, you can understand why it is so important to ensure we provide the very best for our families. We place a lot of emphasis on the best clothes, food and education for our families, but what about the neighbourhood where they live? Do we place as much emphasis as we should on that? Let me help you get started by highlighting a few of the best neighbourhoods for families in Salt Lake City.
9th & 9th
This beautiful community sits just a few miles southeast of Downtown, Salt Lake City. It is thus close enough for you to access everything you need, but not in the heart of the disruptive hustle and bustle. Its ideal location is just one of the reasons why this neighbourhood is perfect for families. This primarily residential neighbourhood also has tons of shops and restaurants. Additionally, there are quite a few establishments that provide various forms of entertainment for young people.
Cottonwood Heights
Cottonwood Heights lies on the border between Salt Lake Valley and the Cottonwood Canyons. This neighbourhood is famous for its close proximity to four of the nation’s best ski resorts. The view of the snow capped hills is also quite remarkable and it is a pleasure to wake up to such beauty each day. Cottonwood Heights is comprised of mostly single family homes. But don’t be alarmed; while it is far from the city, it still has its conveniences like cafes and restaurants.
Foothill
Foothill is regarded as one of the most expensive neighbourhoods in SLC. As you drive through the winding roads of this community, you cannot help but marvel at the luxurious homes. While there is a limited collection of restaurants and stores, whatever amenities you find in this community will be of the highest quality. HOA info in Salt Lake City.
Sugarhouse
The community of Sugarhouse was established back in the 1850’s and is thus one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Salt Lake City. This neighbourhood has evolved over the years but it has now become popular for upper-middle class families. This community once had the highest concentration of local businesses. While this changed in 2008, it is still regarded as one of the best places to shop in SLC.
Liberty Park
Liberty Park is another excellent choice for families and is by far my favourite. This is not the neighbourhood for you if you are looking for night life or fancy restaurants. While there are a few of these amenities around town, this neighbourhood is highly residential. What this neighbourhood does have, is over 80 acres of lush green trees, ponds and well kept paths. This will provide ample space for your young ones to play and be children. Additionally, this community is home to the Tracy Aviary, which is the only aviary in Salt Lake City.
